Colombian Festival

Image
I have a new obsession, peasant tops and since I was going to a festival I felt it was appropriate to wear one. It was not your normal music festival, it was the annual Colombian Independence Day Festival. There was live music, lots of food and overall a good time.
It was humid and hot outside but I stayed cool with my flowy top and shorts and I was so happy I finally master the milk-braid hair do!

A close up at my milk-braid!

The festival was held at one of the nearby parks there was a lot of food and live music. I ended up changing my shoes to flats once we realized that we had to walk one mile from where we parked the car to the festival.

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Remix:: Zara Faux leather Shorts

Image
When I bought these shorts I knew I would get a lot of use out of them.  I try to always buy things that I know I would use and that already go with what I have in my closet, sometimes is hard but for the most part I try.
These shorts I worn so many times besides the three you see up here. They really go well with anything and I am so Happy I bought them! xo, Yaudy

Undecided

A blazer, shorts and a statement necklace was all I came up with on Saturday after starring at my closet for more than 2 hours. I have a huge problem, when I have somewhere to go I never know what to wear I start planning outfits in my head but they never look good once I actually put it on. When it comes to office outfits I get those ready five days in advance, yes you read it right, five days ahead but on weekends that OCD mentality gets erased from my head haha Anyways, this is what I wore Saturday for dinner and drinks with my husband.  Every time I wear these shorts I fall in love with them more each time. I have worn them during Winter (here) and dressed down in Spring (here) I probably will never get rid of them.. Hope you guys had an amazing weekend! xo, Yaudy

Rule Braker

Image
I kind of broke the rules when I wore these cropped pants to the office the other day. I bought them six months ago and wanted to wear them so bad. I kept my jewelry simple and with the bronze cap toe heels I fell I made this outfit a bit more corporate friendly.
I will definitely be wearing them again this weekend and since they are high wasted I am sure they will look amazing with a cropped top!

Wonder Woman

Image
I love how one simple accessory can change an outfit specially a headband.   I own a couple of headbands but never wear them most of them just give me headaches but not this one. The elastic isn't so tight and I was able to wear it the whole night. I felt weird in the beginning but after two hours I forgot it was on my head.  I guess I was having a Wonder Woman kind of moment haha.   I wore this Sunday night to dinner and to stroll down one of the NYC skyline views.  Hope your week is going well.. xo, Yaudy

Drive-In

Image
My husband and I went to see a movie at the drive-in theater this past Saturday. It was my first time going and I really enjoyed it. Since we were going to be in the car, comfort was on my mind when I got dressed and thank God I brought a blanket the temperature dropped down to 60 degrees by the time we left.   Since comfort was on my mind, these shorts were the perfect pick. Paired with my chambray top, sparkly earrings and my new T.J Maxx find (sandals I got for a fraction of the price) was the perfect comfy look to sit in my car for two and a half hours. Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend! xo, Yaudy

Keeping Up With....

Image
I probably have been to every mall in Jersey but I have to be honest, Sears never caught my attention.  I originally stopped there to look for the sunnies I saw on Erika a couple of weeks ago, I felt in love with them that had to go get them! While at the store I got really curious about the Kardashian Kollection and the great sales that were going on that ended up staying there for three hours browsing.  Not only did I buy the glasses, I also purchased this top and the pencil denim skirt I have been wanting for a long time at a price that was wallet friendly. The clothes were so cute and the accessories were amazing! I will definitely keep my eyes on Sears.. xo, Yaudy
